PRISONTECH RULES

Staff members are not immune to these rules, if you find a member of staff abusing their power and not following the rules listed below, please report them directly to an administrator or owner. 

All rules are open to interpretation from the staff member enforcing them; however, if you feel you have been unfairly punished you may appeal at: https://prisontech.net/appeal/

(1) Harassment of any form is not allowed.
 

• Sexual Harassment
  • Sexism, unsolicited comments etc.
• Racial Harassment
  • Slurs, direct targeting based on race, etc.
• Ableism
  • Making fun of someone’s disability.
• Bigotry
• Discrimination. (Some of this may be covered in the above)
   
   

(2)  Threats of any form are not allowed.
 

Threats in this context assume IRL consequences, threatening another player with PvP is not considered a threat and you will be warned if your comments are bordering on the edge.
 

• DDOS Threats towards the server or a direct party.
• Threats of harm to oneself or to another party.
   
   

(3)  Advertising is not allowed.
 

If you wish to advertise your media channels (YouTube, Twitch, etc.) please message a member of staff before throwing it in chat.
 
  The following examples are not exhaustive.
  Advertising is split into different variations depending on the severity of it:
 

• Light Advertising
  • Asking another player to join another server in global chat.
• General Advertising
  • Attempting to recruit players via IP address.
  • Links that may not be directly related to PrisonTech.
    • This is subject to interpretation: some links may be fine others may not, message a staff member if you are unsure.
• “Proper” Advertising
  • Directly messaging a player to give them an IP address unsolicited.
     
     

(4)  Excessive inappropriate behavior is not allowed.
 

• This includes usernames, skins, item names, etc.
  • Usernames and skins will result in a permanent ban until remedied.
  • Item names, pet names, etc. will either result in a forceful renaming of the item or a removal of it.
• Consistent lude comments
  • This is assuming it does not extend into being sexual harassment.
• Talking about self-harming or promoting it to others.
  • While considered inappropriate behavior; you will be permanently banned.
• Aggressive or abusive behavior
  • Assumed as light, any higher and it would likely be promoted to harassment.
• Stalking
   
   

(5)  Possession or use of an illegal item is not allowed.
 

(6)  Abuse of bugs or glitches that provides an unfair advantage over others is prohibited.
 

• Minor bugs or issues that do not provide an advantage over others will not be punished under this rule.
• Breaking out of the map.
  • This is minor and may only result in a jail or a warning (with a /spawn).
• Glitching into furnace rooms.
• Please report all bugs to: https://prisontech.net/forums/bug-reports/
  
  

(7)  Use of mods or clients that give you an unfair advantage over other players are not allowed.
 
Examples of mods that are not allowed:
 

• Mods that allow an action to be completed continuously without player input.
• Use of macros.
• Hacked clients.
• Vision enhancement mods that show players, chests, or ores through blocks. Gamma modifications are approved.
   
   

(8)  Use of a VPN to vote multiple times for additional rewards is prohibited.
 

(9)  Scamming players in-game is ALLOWED, but IRL scamming is not.
 

(10)  IRL Transactions are not approved in an way this includes
 

• Selling In-Game Currency
• Selling In-Game Items, etc.
   
   

(11)  Do not spam or flood chat.
 

• Excessive capital letters.
• Consistently foul language.
• This includes direct messages.
   
   

(12)  Do not evade a punishment using a secondary account.
 

(13)  Do not misuse the in-game payment system. This will result in a pay ban. Examples are listed below. 
 

• Spam paying a player after being asked to stop.
• Spamming a player when muted to try and get attention.
• Any other time you have been asked to stop by a staff member and choose to continue.
   
   

 (14) Network Ban 
 

• At any point should a Sr. Admin or higher deem it necessary you may be permanently banned from PrisonTech.
• This punishment is only used in extreme cases of deliberately having a negative effect on players on the server or affecting the server in general.
• Unlike a previous “Rule 22” punishment this punishment can be appealed.
